Salmon ladder and hydroelectric plant

Today we drove to our next RV campground, in Gander, and on the way stopped at a town called Grand Falls - Windsor. They have a hydroelectric plant there, and have built a salmon ladder to give the fish a way to get upstream, mate, and spawn. Within the ladder is a section with a clear glass side, like an aquarium, so we could see the salmon. Beautiful. Outside, views of the river with gulls watching for a salmon that had tired out from the strain and died. Sushi! Check out the narrow wooden floored one lane bridge we crossed to get to the site!
