Canada Day weekend in Lunenburg

Bright and sunny, temps in the 70's and low 80's, cool at night. Two days here in Lunenburg, population 2200, settled originally by the Mi'kmaq indians, who lived in harmony with the Acadians arriving in the 1650's. In the mid 1700's under British rule, the area was resettled by German and Swiss protestants. It has that flavor still. We walked the picturesque town, enjoying art galleries, curio shops, crafts, and a street celebration of Canada Day, like our July 4th. Drove around to some neighboring Mahone Bay and Chester,  picturesque little fishing villages.
