Re-Connecting with Canadian Maritime Friends

We arranged to rendesvous with some friends we made this summer while on the Fantasy Canadian Maritimes trip. First, Wayne and Diane met us at Lake Havasu City, AZ. They introduced us to their friends who live in town, who have an RV hookup spot next to their garage, and were kind enough to host us for a few days. Wayne and Diane took us out to their lovely desert spot near Yucca, AZ. It is remote, pristine, and a home to lots of critters including Mojave Greens (see above)!
They park their 5th wheel camper there, enjoying power from a generator and solar panels, septic tank for sewer, and water that is trucked in from Yucca. Next to their 5th wheel, is a 40x80 foot metal building for all their toys... Wayne has 3 or 4 hotrods in various stages of restoration, several teardrop trailers, and his own paint booth and hoist. Diane has a huge loft with all her quilting supplies and equipment. Quite a toyhouse! Wayne chauffeured us along old Route 66, including Oatman, which was a blast.
