Wow, time to play catch-up here on the travel blog! After our return from Gulf Shores, we spent several weeks visiting family around St Louis. I'm trying something new with pictures, the underlined items are links if you want to check it out. Had a fun Halloween rally with the Gateway Getaways at Cape Girardeau, MO, dressing up our coach and ourselves, as you can see.
We spent a week in Las Vegas at the HQ for Fantasy RV Tours training on the new rallies and activities for the coming year, and preparing for our Staff role at the upcoming Rose Bowl rally on New Years. It was a blast. We saw so many things we didn't even know you could do, and made lots of new friends.
My partner Ralph Britton and I competed in the American Contract Bridge League District 8 finals for the North American Pairs, and placed 1st in C, the category for under 500 masterpoint players. Scroll down on the link to see our picture! We play in the North American Pairs final in March, wish us luck.
After a lovely Thanksgiving with our daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Ryan and family, we enjoyed a long weekend in Branson, MO with Nancy's siblings and spouses at a huge 5br house on the lake at the Cliffs, part of Bluegreen's Big Cedar resort. Then, time to pack and head out for the West Coast just as the weather in the midwest turned really COLD!
We started south thru North Little Rock, AR, then jogged southwest thru Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona on I-10. Even so, two nites it was below freezing! Thanks to Travelin' Fran, we were able to stay at a couple of Escapees parks on the way!
