Monday, March 24, and we're six days into our drive down the peninsula. It's 1050 miles from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, but we've been taking it easy. This is no highway for being in a hurry. The curves are treacherous, the shoulders are pretty much non-existent, and the blacktop is maybe 10 feet wide at the most, some places less. We counted about 10 dead cattle (hit by cars or trucks) along the roadside, here's one that was fresh enough that the vultures were having a feast.
